A Bit About Me

Jael Burt’s connection with Canterbury Rhythmic Gymnastics began when she walked into the gym as a six year old. What started as a childhood activity soon became a lifelong passion. As she grew, her talent and dedication carried her through the national ranks, representing Great Britain at international events and earning several national titles.

At 20, Jael retired from competitive gymnastics and stepped into her new role as Head Coach of Canterbury Rhythmic Gymnastics. Drawing on the discipline, artistry and high level experience gained throughout her athletic career, she now leads the club’s technical development and long term progression.

Passionate, considerate and wholly dedicated, Jael pours her heart into every gymnast she coaches. She leads both the Advanced Squad and Mini Squad, while overseeing the growth of all gymnasts across the club. Her ability to inspire confidence, nurture potential and elevate performance has helped produce new national title winners, continuing the legacy she once contributed to as an athlete.

Alongside coaching, Jael has been a qualified judge for 14 years. This gives her a strong technical eye and a deep understanding of the sport, helping her gymnasts refine their skills with precision and purpose.

A central part of Jael’s philosophy is creating a space where gymnasts feel safe, supported and able to express themselves. She is committed to making the gym an enjoyable and positive environment where athletes can work hard, grow steadily and take pride in their journey of learning.

For Jael, rhythmic gymnastics is more than a sport - it is her life’s passion. Her mission is to help every gymnast who steps into the Canterbury gym reach their fullest potential and discover what they are truly capable of.
